Q:- why a small quantity of enzyme molecules is enough to act upon large number of substrate molecule?​

Because enzymes serve as catalysts to speed up reactions. And the lock and key method shows that the only certain substrates can fit into certain enzymes and therefore increase the reaction speed of all of the given substrates.
