Area of rectangle is A1
A1=l•w
A1=3.5 • 2.4
A1=8.4 m^2

Area of triangle is A2
d=2.4
r=d/2
r=2.4/2=1.2 m
A2= π•r^2
A2=3.14 • (1.2)^2
A2=3.14 • 1.44
A2=4.5216 m^2

Area of shaded region A=A1+A2
A=8.4+4.5216
A=12.9216
A~12.9 m^2
