The perimeter of a square and rectangle are equal . If the square has a side length of 24m and the breadth of the rectangle is 10m , find the length of the rectangle and also find which figure has greater area by how much ?

Perimeter of the square is 24(4)=96.

Perimeter of the rectangle is 2(10+length)=96

10+length=48

length=38 m

Area of the square is 24^2 = 576.

Area of the rectangle is 10 * 38 = 380

So the square has an area 196 m^2 greater.
