What leads to a diversity of living things in an ecosystem?

diversity in the ecosystem happens as a result of evolutionary pressure
Tundras, Rainforests, coral reefs and deciduous forests all are formed as a result of evolutionary pressures. Even seemingly small evolutionary interactions can have large impacts on the diversity of the ecosystems throughout the world.
