Hello There today we will solve your problem

\huge\red{\mid{\underline{\overline{\textbf{EQUATION AND ANSWER}}}\mid}}

Lets solve for
x and
y

___________

\huge\blue{\mid{\fbox{\tt{Values}}\mid}}

-

  1. \boxed{y=6x}

now lets place our equation

4x+y=7, since
y=6x we can substitute
y for
6x

4x+6x=7\\10x=7\\x=(7)/(10)

and since we said
y=6x we get that
y=(42)/(10)

x=(7)/(10)\\x=0.7

y=(42)/(10)\\y=4.2

Explanation:

y = 6x

so,

4x + y = 7

or, 4x + 6x = 7

or, 10x = 7

so, x = 7/10

Now,

y = 6x = 6 * 7/10 = 21/5
