Yes because if it didn't happen it wouldn't help or impact the black lives. if it didn't there would be a ton of racism black people would not have as much rights as the do now. Racism is still going on but there was a lot more racism a certian time. At a certain time in the world poeple who weren't white or clored would be slaved. It did impact a ton of people and if it didn't the world would be way worse than it is now.
