Explanation:

we have two shapes in the diagram a square and a triangle so we find the area of each of them and add them together

finding the area of a square

we have area= s×s

area = 7×5

area = 35cm^2

finding the area of a triangle

1/2 ×b×h

1/2×4×5

area = 10cm^2

so we add together

total area = 35+ 10

area = 45cm^2
