5x + 10y = 25
5x = 25 - 10y
x = 25/5 - 10/5 y
x = 5 - 2y

5x+10y=25

Add -10y to both sides:

5x+10y+-10y=25+-10y

5x=-10y+25

Divide both sides by 5:

(5x)/(5) =(-10y+25)/(5)

\fbox{y = -2y + 5}
