Answer: In my opinion, Congress ought to erect a national memorial in honor of the settlers who made their way to the West in the 1850s and 1860s. Due to the numerous struggles they endured—including starvation, illness, exhaustion, and Indian attacks—a statue should be erected in their honor. They have also expanded American habitations into the Mississippi Valley.

Last but not least, the achievements of American women pioneers have opened the path for greater equality for women across the country.

Why Congress is significant?

The Constitution gives Congress, one of the three equal branches of government, a number of important functions. Congress has sole legislative authority in the state, which means it is the only branch of government that may enact new legislation or modify current ones.

According to the Constitution's definition of Congress' express powers, these include the ability to levy and collect taxes, borrow money using the United States' credit, regulate commerce, mint money, declare war, assemble and support armies, and enact all laws required for the exercise of those powers.
