Henry is making a corn grits recipe that calls for 0.25 cup of corn grits for every 0.5 cup of water.

How much water will he need if he uses 1.5 cups of corn grit

(1/4)x(1/2)
=(1/8) or 0.125
0.125x1.5=0.1875

Answer:

corn grits/water:

(1/4)/(1/2) = (3/2)/w

Cross multiply.

(1/4)w = (1/2)(3/2)

(1/2)w = 3/4

w = 3/2 cups
