the wording seems to tell us we cannot use fractions of miles. we only can use whole miles.

1450 / 3 = 483.333333...

to be sure to reach Atlanta in 3 days when driving the same amount of miles every day, the minimum per day is then 484 miles per day (no fractions).

because 483 miles per day would give us only 1,449 miles in total and leave us 1 mile short of the target.
