  • Nucleus - Stores the DNA of the cell, and is the main control center of the cell.
  • Ribosomes - Performs protein synthesis.
  • Endoplasmic Reticulum - Stores calcium and performs protein synthesis.
  • Mitochondria - Converts energy from food into energy the cell can use.
  • Golgi Apparatus - Transports proteins around the body.
  • Chloroplast - Only found in plant cells - Produce energy through photosynthesis.
  • Cytoplasm - Keeps other organelles secure and helps to transport things around the cell.

(Everything except the chloroplast is found in both plant and animal cells.)
