How can you tell if a news story is reliable or not?

Answer: if it is biased, only tells one side of the story, has been made by an unreliable author or is irrelevant to the topic, then it is most likely unreliable.

You can check the date of publish. If it is recent, the most likely the source is reliable. You can check for the author who wrote it and do some research on them, see if they wrote other stories.
