Spontaneous nerve impulse:nerve impulse occurs because of a difference in electrical charge across the plasma membrane of a neuron. E.g If you touch a hot stove your brain sends a chemical stimulus to a neuron which support communication from your brain to your hand so you can avoid a serious burn.

Reflex action:In biology, a reflex, or reflex action, is an involuntary, unplanned sequence or action and nearly instantaneous response to a stimulus. E.g Sometimes when you go to the doctor he/she uses a reflex hammer on your knee and without you thinking your knee shoots forward on its own.That is a reflex action.
