The Delano grape strike is notable for three things in particular that revolutionised the farm labour movement in America: the successful implementation and adaptation of boycotts; the unprecedented partnership between Filipino and Mexican farm workers to unionise farm labour; and the ensuing formation of the UFW labour union.
