Answer is x intercept is -5, y intercept is 5

Step by step

We know when we have y intercept, x is 0 so we substitute 0 for x. When we have an x intercept, y is 0.

Y = x + 5
Y = 0 + 5
Y = 5

Now we will change the equation around to find x

Y = x + 5 (subtract 5 from both sides so x is isolated)
Y -5 = x
Substitute 0 for y
0 -5 = x
-5 = x
