If politics and religion are intertwined, the Constitution's guarantees will not be upheld. A political party favoring one religion and utilizing it to acquire support will be very detrimental. It could cause conflict between various social groupings motivated by differing religious ideologies.

In a secular democratic democracy, politics and religion can not and should not coexist. A secular government abstains from supporting or aligning itself with any particular religious group. Regardless of their religious preferences, they must strive for the constituency's welfare and improvement.
