Slowing down from such speeds takes distance. Flossie was cruising at a

comfortable 70 m/s when she decided it was time for a visit with her pit-crew. If
her acceleration is -4m/s how long will it take her to stop?

SOLUTION
a= -4ms^-2
v= 70ms^-1
t = ?

Acceleration = velocity/time

Therefore time = velocity/acceleration
= 70/-4
= 17.5seconds
