Mexico has large oceans on both sides with ample (enough) wind hitting its shores. However, Mexico City (which is located in the middle of the country on top of an extinct volcano) stays polluted without wind flow to clean it out. Why is this so

Answer:

I would say the climate affects the wind and weather from reaching there due to the atnosphere. Or the mountains are blocking the wind speed.
