Which is a way to solve the equation 4x = 128 if you do not know a power of 4 that equals 128?.

4ˣ=128

Taking the natural log of both sides gives you

ln(4ˣ)=ln(128)

Using the power property of logs we get

xln(4)=ln(128)

Dividing both sides by ln(4) we get

x=ln(128)/ln(4)
