That would be negative reinforcement.

A fairly common example of negative reinforcement is when a parent constantly complains to their child when their room is untidy. The child then cleans their room in order to alleviate the complaining. The goal behaviour (future behaviour) is to get the child to consistently clean their room to prevent the complaining from the parent.

Hope this helps!
