Climate change is bad for 99% of people, so most people should want to minimize it purely due to self interest.

Individual climate action is not economically beneficial to the individual that does it since the benefit is divided by 7 billion other people.

Collective action is therefore required.

People need to use their collective bargaining power and go out of their way to vote, lobby their politicians and any companies or pension funds they are invested in to enact change.

Many people are biased against government action and instead only support individual changes in consumption to address climate change that don’t make sense. If they understood the economics of climate change they would be much more likely to support government action.
