On a farm, 1/3 of the livestock are cows, 1/6 are sheep, 1/4 are chickens and

remainder are horses.
Express the number of horses on the farm as a fraction.

Answer:

1/4 of the livestock is horses.

Explanation:

covert all of the fractions so they each have the coomon denominator of 12. Once you have done that, add up all of the fractions. You should get 9/12 or 3/4, meaning that the remainder, simplified, is 1/4.
