How does the process of crossing over improve biodiversity of a species?

Answer:

it gives us genetic variation

crossing over is where both parent cells mix to form unidentical daughter cells right, therefore when both genes mix, the offspring gets the mixture of both parents and that is genetic variation and it is also how you get biodiversity
