I'm supposed to be simplifying radicals and I'm confused on how to do so.

16 can be factorized as

Also,

-4*-4=16

so

`\begin{gathered} √(16)=4 \\ \text{and} \\ √(16)\text{ = -4} \\ √(16)=\pm4 \end{gathered}`
