Using cosine function:


\begin{gathered} \cos (\theta)=(adjacent)/(hypotenuse) \\ so\colon \\ \cos (62)=(12)/(distance) \\ solve_{\text{ }}for_{\text{ }}distance \\ distance=(12)/(\cos (62)) \\ distance=25.56ft \end{gathered}
