In the expression

4x^2+(5y+z^3)

we are asked to evaluate x=3,y=4 and z=2, that is, we have to substitute in the expression above the variables x,y and z by the numbers 3,4 and 2 respectively. We do as folllows:

\begin{gathered} 4(3)^2+(5(4)+(2)^3)=4(9)+(20+8) \\ =36+28 \\ =64 \end{gathered}

We conclude that the given expression evaluated at the requires values is 64.
