We are given the following expression:

(x+2)(x+2)

We can use exponentials to simplify the expression since we have the product of the same term:

(x+2)(x+2)=(x+2)^2

We can simplify further by applying the following property:

(a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2

Applying the property we get:

(x+2)^2=x^2+2(2x)+2^2

Simplifying:

(x+2)^2=x^2+4x+4

And thus we get the simplified form.
