Continuous variation is altering moderately and is considered as attibutes such as height and weight. It can be caused by genes and factors of the environment. Discontinuous variation possess a defined amount of potential characteristics which can be blood group or eye color. It can be caused by entirely incidental changes of genes or characteristics that are not influenced by the environment.
