On the fourth bounce, the height of the ball is 4.7 feet

To calculate the height after the fourth bounce, we use the geometric progression approach

12 ft being the initial height as the first term, then 73% = 73/100 = 0.73 as the common ratio

Mathematically, we have the nth term of an arithmetic sequence as;

\begin{gathered} T_n\text{ =a}* r^(n-1) \\ a\text{ = 12 ft} \\ r\text{ = 0.73} \\ T_n\text{ = 12 }*0.73^(4-1) \\ T_n\text{ = 12 }*0.73^3 \\ T_n\text{ = 4.668 which is apprx 4.7 ft} \end{gathered}
