These sets of equations have no solutions for the reasons stated in the explanantion

Here, we want to solve the three equations simultaneously using the elimimation method.

We proceed as follows;

Equation i can be expressed as;

2(2x - 4y + z) = 10

Now take a look at equation iii

it is the same thing we have in the bracket

So if the question is not faulty, then by substituting 2x-4y+z = 8 into the first equation should yield 2(8) = 16 and not 10
