Given: y=10 then x=40

We use cross multiplication and set it up as a fraction.

(x)/(40)=(32)/(10)\text{ }\Rightarrow10x=32*40\text{ }\Rightarrow10x=1280\Rightarrow(10x)/(10)=(1280)/(10)

So you just divide 10 on both sides to get x by itself.

Answer: x=128
