AE=BD, CD=CE. Given.

AE=AC+CE Segment Addition postulate.

BD=BC+CD Segment Addition postulate.

Since AE=BD,

AC+CE=BC+CD Transitive property

Since CD=CE , put CE for CD.

AC+CE=BC+CE. Substitution property

Hence,

AC=BC.
