We know that the diagonals of a square bisects it's angles and every angles of square are 90°.

The diagnol bisects the parallelogram in two equal parts.

The angle obtained are,

4x+17^(\circ)

The sum of the angles are 90 deg.

4x+17+4x+17=90^(\circ)
8x+34=90^(\circ)
8x=56^(\circ)
x=7^(\circ)

Thus the value of x is 7 deg.
