When you avoid conflict, you also miss out on the opportunity to learn why the dispute occurred. It will not help you grow as a person, but it will make you a coward by allowing you to escape reality. The more you avoid conflict, the more you want to distance yourself from the person or persons around you. It will give them the impression that you are unconcerned. So, no matter how unpleasant the fight is/was/will be, you must face it nonetheless.
