so we need to solve:

h(-3)=5\cdot(-3)^4+7\cdot(-3)^3-4\cdot(-3)+3

first, let's solve the exponential (remember if the number is odd, the result of the exponential is negative because of the -3)

h(-3)=5\cdot81+7\cdot(-27)-4\cdot(-3)+3

now the multiplications

\begin{gathered} h(-3)=405-189+12+3 \\ \text{note: negative}\cdot negative=positive \\ \text{negative }\cdot\text{ positive= negative} \end{gathered}

and finally the sum.

and the answer is:

h(-3)=231
