No matter how you set up your proportions to find the distance between Rio de Janeiro and San Jose, the cross products will still set up the same When solving for x in problem #4, where the ratio is 200 miles per 1 inch, how would you set up the cross products to be equal to each other?

1) Setting the proportions, let's place on the numerator's place the same physical quantities. Therefore we have:

\begin{gathered} \frac{200\text{ miles}}{1\text{ inch}}=\frac{10\text{ miles}}{x} \\ 200milesx=10\text{miles} \\ x=\frac{10miles}{200\text{miles}} \\ x=(1)/(20)\text{ miles or 0.05 inches} \\ \end{gathered}

2) So, the answer would be set as D
