Given:-

(-7,3)(7,1)

To find:-

The equation of the line passing through the point.

So first we find the value of the slope m. we use the formula,

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Now we substitute the given values, so we get,

m=(1-3)/(7-(-7))

Simplifying we get,

\begin{gathered} m=(1-3)/(7-(-7)) \\ m=(-2)/(14) \\ m=-(1)/(7) \end{gathered}

So the value of slope m is -1/7.

Now we find the equation. we use the formula,

y=mx+c

Substtuing any one point we get,

\begin{gathered} 3=-(1)/(7)*-7+c \\ 3=1+c \\ 3-1=c \\ c=2 \end{gathered}

So the required equation is,

y=-7x+2
