Atrophy
Explanation: Atrophy is the progressive degeneration of muscle or nerve tissue. When you wear a cast for multiple weeks and you’re not allowed to bare weight, your muscles tend to become weaker because you haven’t used it in a while. That’s why PT is recommended after a bone break.
