Most likely, women work in sweatshops because employers take advantage of cultural stereotypes which women are often obliged to adhere to, and children because they are forced/feel the need to help their own family which may be in poverty. Depending on which country, factor jobs may be seen as “women’s work” and men may be expected to preform other jobs instead.
