Do plants consume soil?

Plants do not consume soil. Soil is important for plant to survive. It is used to support and provide nutrients to the plants. The plant undergo photosynthesis in order to make their own food. They use the energy from the sun together with CO2 and water in order to convert it to food in the form of glucose for their survival.
