The problem has to events, selecting a white bead, and selecting a red bead, without replacement, which means the total number of outcomes changes by one.

P=(3)/(10)*(5)/(9)

Observe how the number of beads changes to 9 because the first selected is not being replaced.

P=(3*5)/(10*9)=(15)/(90)=(1)/(6)

Hence, the probability is 1/6.
