How does the structure of dna assist with its function?.

Answer: there are multiple reasons for this including:

- it has a sugar phosphate backbone & many hydrogen bonds which provide stability

- it’s a long molecule so this allows it to store lots of genetic information

- its a double helix shape making it compact for storage in the nucleus
