Assuming that the dilation was centered at the origin, the relation between the coordinates are: -3 is transformed into -1, and -6 is transformed into -2. The scale factor can be obtained as follows:

-3*scale factor = -1

scale factor = (-1)/(-3) = 1/3

-6*scale factor = -2

scale factor = (-2)/(-6) = 1/3
