Given that x=-2/3


x-(1)/(3)=(-2)/(3)-(1)/(3)

Then,


\begin{gathered} x-(1)/(3)=(-2-1)/(3) \\ x-(1)/(3)=(-3)/(3) \\ x-(1)/(3)=(-1*3)/(3*1) \\ x-(1)/(3)=(-1)/(1) \\ x-(1)/(3)=-1 \end{gathered}

Therefore the value for x-1/3 is -1.
