1) Since there are two points we need to find the slope, to begin with:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-3-5)/(2-(-2))=(-8)/(4)=-2

Now, we can find the y-intercept by plugging one point (2,-3) into the slope-intercept form:
