Do you think that thermoregulation was the reason why any of the marathon runners experienced severe medical conditions after the race?

Thermoregulation is a mechanism responsible for regulating the internal temperature of an organism, in order to keep the best conditions for its operation. So severe medical conditions after races are not associated to thermoregulation, because the mechanism will avoid the body to heat up at temparatures that could cause severe damages. The medical conditions after races are associated to other factors.
