L = Total length

n = Number of cables

a = Length of each cable

Therefore:


\begin{gathered} a\cdot n=L \\ _{\text{ }}where\colon \\ a=3m+0.25m=3.25m \\ n=6 \\ so\colon \\ L=3.25\cdot6 \\ L=19.5m \end{gathered}

Answer:

You need 19.5 m
