We are given the following difference of polynomials:

(2x^2+2x+3)-(x^2+2x+1)

Let's group tohether similar terms in order to solve it, and remember that the "-" sign affects every element inside the parentheses. With this, we rewrite the opperation as follows:

(2x^2-x^2)+(2x-2x)+(3-1)=x^2+0+2=x^2+2

And so, the result is

x^2+2
