An outlier can be said to be any value that is far from every other values in a data set.

In a boxplot, if there is a low outlier where one of the data values is less than Q1 - 1.5xQR, then the line that extends down from the box extends from Q1 and ends at the smallest data value that is not an outlier.

This statement is correct.

The line that extends from quartile 1(Q1), will end at the smallest data value which is before the low outlier. The line from Q1 will not extend to the low outlier.
